1. What inspired you to open your shop?
I became a "plant lady" when I purchased a houseplant for my first home in 2009. My skills, knowledge, and love for plants only grew over the years. When I was laid off during COVID, I decided it was the perfect time to turn my passion into a profession. You know what they say, 'When life hands you lemons, plant a tree'.
2. What is your favorite part about running a business?
We have been a big part in the revitalization of our small town. That feels really cool to me. We would never be able to have contributed the way we have if we weren't business owners.
3. What was your first houseplant?
The Golden Pothos, as God intended.
4. If you could give a new business owner a piece of advice, what would it be?
Be prepared to work every day; I mean it. You literally don't get a single day off.
5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
It's hard to say, I can't believe how much we've grown and the new ideas we keep coming up with. I never would have predicted that we'd be where we are today.
